Aim not for Success But for Significance
Men are born with aims, dreams and goals in life. How to achieve it is a long and enduring journey one person must take. But once we achieve that long time dream, we become fleetingly happy, spectators of our journey to our dreams calls us an achiever, a goal-grabber, a hard working man, someone who is SUCCESSFUL.
But do we ever wonder what comes next after being successful? Do we aim to be more successful, to be the most successful, or to maintain the success we attained. Of course, we move forward and aim for something even higher.
But what comes after being succssful? For me it is being SIGNIFICANCT.Aren't we significant already since were successful? I guess not. We were born with a dream, a goal, an aim, but together with that, we are born with a purpose. But sometimes, we are too busy reaching for our dreams we sometimes forget to seek what purpose we have in life. To be significant is to achieve one's purpose. To be significant is to be able to leave a mark, a mark that will be remembered and will end up being a legacy. When a successful man die, he lives behind his money, his riches and achievements. He will be remembered but will soon be forgotten. When a significant man die, people cry,he may die poor or rich, but he will be remembered. His memory and significance will live on in the hearts of the man he shared his purposed with. A man who got his significance in life will live long, and will be loved forever.
So do not just aim for success and excellence. Aim to be significant.

Personal Financing
Have you seen the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic? Nice movie right, and for me, very moving to. Specifically to those who are suffering from financial problems right now. Would you end up losing your friend, even the man of your dreams because of your shopping frenzy problem? Would you like to experience the same harassment Rebecca Bloomfield's had all because of her credit card debt? Would you like your personal debt problems to be aired on nationwide television early in the morning?
I don't think so.
Personal financing is a very important thing for adults, well specifically for those who are earning for themselves. Budget and savings is a basic practice that should be done responsibly. Credit cards are helpful, but if abused will cost a lot of problems.
Here are some helpful tips one could follow to be able to have a sound personal finance.
1. Know your assets and liabilities. - How much do you earn? Do you have previous debts? How can you pay of this debts? Is saving possible after paying of this debts? It is very important to have a bench mark, a starting point in your personal finance assessment. You should assess what is at hand. This will help as you go through the processes.
2. Know your necessities. - Knowing what you need and what you want is another key. Nothing is wrong in having or spending for a thing you want, you just need to set a time on when you would get what you want, absolutely not now until your debts are cleared right?
3. Set and stick to your budget . - Keeping track of your budget is a very good practice. Collect receipts. Write down things you bought or services you have paid for. You might be surprised to discover that you spent 150$ a month on ice cream. Keeping receipts will also let you know which products are of good quality but reasonably priced and those who which are not.
4. Go to bargains and sales. - Sales usually happen every 15th or the end of the month, mostly during the times you get your paycheck. but be carefull on going to sales and bargains. Remember, buy things you really need, and not stuffs you want or found in a bargain prize.buy things you need now till the end of the week, not thins you might be needing for Christmas or Summer. Prices may differ but why buy things you may tend to forgot you had. Save for something else you might really really want and need in the future.
5. Look for part-time jobs or other income generating activities. - The economy is at a downfall nowadays, so its better to stuff some extra dollars there in case things gets worst. Earning can also be achieved through online activities like blogging, doing reviews , participating in forums, even in socializing. Why waste your creative juices in writing right? Do garage sales, why throw away stuffs your not using if you could still sell them? baby-sit for a friend during week-ends. There are many part-time jobs there you might actually enjoy doing.
Lastly, DISCIPLINE is a must. You may consider following this tips or other helpful how to's out there, but if you will not stick to it, all will just go to waste.
